JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re hiring entry-level warehouse associates who are experienced at unloading cargo from trucks and containers utilizing a pallet jack, and by hand in a large, complex, and fast-paced distribution center. This is a physically demanding position that requires appropriate physical fitness. The work is continuous and involves frequent lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing and squatting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Remove product from trucks safely and efficiently, following all safety standards, procedures and processes
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack to assist in the unloading process
Coordinate with other receivers and put-away teams to ensure a continuous and proper flow of inbound product
Ensures that products are properly handled to minimize damage to products and surrounding area
Enter data electronically by typing or using hand-held technologies
Submit manual paperwork correctly and timely when required
Inventory and inspect products
Wrap and band pallets to ensure stability when storing products

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

6 Months to two years or experience in warehouse operations
Ability to stand bend, squat, reach, twist, and otherwise move continuously
Available to walk frequently throughout the workday
Physically able to reach above shoulder level to lift or otherwise move objects that weigh 30-50 pounds and occasionally, 50-100 pounds when unloading and sorting pallet products
Physical strength to push and pull large objects frequently
Comfortable operating in a very active fast-paced environment
Capable of enduring extreme temperatures whether hot or cold
Can withstand loud noise and distractions
20/20 Vision with correction
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Basic English reading, writing and mathematical skills
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Consent to a criminal background screening

Associates are typically assigned to a specific department inside the distribution center but may be assigned to work in other departments depending on the demand.
